Aidan Hutchinson on the Pat McAfee Show

Last Oct. 13 in a game against the Dallas Cowboys at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson broke his leg. That day, at the hospital, he was told he'd likely be able to play in the Super Bowl.

Hutchinson often repeated that optimistic goal of playing in the Super Bown on Feb. 8. When asked about Hutchinson, Coach Dan Campbell would often say he's not sure if that's possible for Hutchinson to play in the big game, but "if anyone can do it, it's him."

Of course, because of the Lions loss to the Washington Commanders, we'll never know.

While his goal of playing in the Super Bowl was real, he was asked during an appearance Thursday on the Pat McAfee Show if he thought it was realistic.

"You never know," he said. "I think so, maybe I wouldn't, maybe I would. The world will never know, though. I feel good. We'll be wrapping up rehab pretty soon and then I'm going to move on with life."

"That tibia break was a was an absolute monster... I stayed in the hospital in Dallas for like a couple days after I got hurt there, and those were probably the two most miserable days I ever had in my whole life.'

"It hurt, that was despite the pain, being ripped out of that season and knowing  what I could have done and what could have been...that's what I had the hardest time with.''

"Then again, I'm going into year four next year so, I'm young and I got a lot of good football (ahead).
