So, maybe you haven't gotten over the crushing Detroit Lions defeat last Saturday against the Washington Commanders. And maybe you think, with the loss of some coaches, particulary of offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, the hopes of ever making the Super Bowl are pretty much gone.
Well, Detroit Free Press reporter Carlos Monarrez writes that there's still hope:
Trust. It’s that simple.
If you’re wondering if the Detroit Lions’ window for winning a Super Bowl is closing — or about to slam shut — now that they’ve lost offensive coordinator Ben Johnson to the Chicago Bears and might also lose defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn, your answer is no more complicated than one word: trust.
Because that’s what all this comes down to. You either trust Dan Campbell or you don’t. If you trust his leadership, if you trust how far he’s taken this team in four years as its head coach, then you should trust that the window remains open to win it all as long as he’s at the helm.
(In other words, as the Journey song goes, Don't Stop Believin')
