Estate Sale for the Late Weight Watcher President Florine Marks Includes Dresses, Shoes, Jewelry, Art

Florine Marks, the former president and CEO of Weight Watchers Group, died in October 2023 at age 90, leaving behind a giant footprint in Metro Detroit, both as an entrepreneur and philanthropist. 

She also left behind a lot of belongings, which will be available at an estate sale, beginning today (Thursday) at her home in Farmington Hills, the Detroit Free Press reports. Le Shoppe Estate Sales is conducting the sale.

The Freep reports multi-colored dining sets, glassware, art, jewelry, and racks and racks of suits will be up for sale.

Art available for purchase includes a serigraph of the work of Mexican painter Rufino Tamayo, an Op Art Victor Vasarely lithograph, and signed multiples of statues by George Segal, said another co-owner and art appraiser, Terri Stearn. Many of the pieces are from Mark’s Weight Watchers corporate office.

The sale begins today and runs through Saturday, and possibly Sunday if necessary. It will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 31550 Franklin Fairway in Farmington Hills.
