That didn't take long.
Less than 24 hours after Republican candidate Donald Trump took a shot at Detroit in a speech Thursday in the Motor City, the Kamala Harris camp has produced a video, "Like Detroit," capitalizing on Trump's political blunder.
“Our whole country will end up being like Detroit if she's your president," Trump said about Vice President Kamala Harris during a speech at the Detroit Economic Club at the MotorCity Casino Hotel. "You’re going to have a mess on your hands.”
The ad, which shows the grit, pride and determination of Detroit, features the voice of Detroit native and actor Courtney B. Vance. It ends with "Detroit vs. Everybody" and then "Detroit vs. Trump."
The Harris campaign says "the ad slams Donald Trump for being completely out of touch with the city of Detroit and Michiganders."
The campaign said the ad is part of a $370 million fall ad campaign that will air digitally and on television in Michigan, including this weekend during the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers games.
The ad comes days before Harris is scheduled to appear Tuesday at a town hall meeting in Detroit with host "Charlamagne tha God."
